and sharing our little piece of paradise we've created in Cornwall
We started Lime House Yoga from a small room built on the back of our house in 2011 where we spent ten years building a community of like-minded people. After each class we would congregate in the kitchen for fresh chai. Lifelong friendships were forged in that space.
We couldn’t have known then that we would outgrow that studio and need to build a larger bespoke studio. But during the first lockdown in 2019 that is exactly what happened. Our new studio is situated on the site of our old stable block. We’ve landscaped the gardens with a combination of wildflowers and more formal planting, highlighting the views down through the valley towards Holywell Bay. We think you’ll agree it’s quite possibly one of the most beautiful yoga studios you could imagine.
We believe in what we do, and we believe that what we do can change the world we live in. Cornwall is a beautiful place, and we feel blessed to live here so minimising our impact on the natural environment and making ethical choices about how we do business is important to us.
Our new Lime House Yoga Studio is the only purpose built yoga studio in the country. It’s been designed from the ground up with one purpose in mind: to create a space that is nurturing, inspiring but mostly friendly, where we continue to create a community through yoga.
Thank you so much for a wonderful few days. It’s rare to come across a place so beautiful and a community so welcoming (from an ‘outsiders’ and beginners perspective!). It’s an incredible place you’ve built and yet it feels like home! Sophie B

The studio has been designed so that it can be kept as one large open plan space for larger classes and events or split into two studios using a soundproof dividing wall. We installed state of the art audio visual technologies so our classes can be shared both in-person and via livestream.
The Iyengar rope wall that runs the entire length of the back wall of the studio is one of the largest in the UK. It’s a specific style of yoga – Yoga Kurunta or ‘Puppetry’ made popular by B.K.S Iyengar.
The gardens have been designed by our good friend Toni Twentyman. The gardens are constantly evolving and changing with the seasons so whenever you visit, you are sure to see something different, soak in the tranquility and take inspiration from the varied and wonderful plants and flowers.
When designing the studio we had to explain to the architect that we wanted to suspend up to 30 people from the rafters, which, if you’ve never practiced Aerial yoga was an interesting conversation! The studio has been built for aerial yoga hammocks so if you ever want to put your feet up you know where to come! We run regular monthly aerial yoga workshops.
We are situated on the north coast of Cornwall on the opposite side of the valley from a small, friendly village called Cubert. Only a short walk from the beach and ideally situated between Perranporth, Newquay and Truro, we are 20 minutes from Newquay airport and 15 minutes from the main railway line to London Paddington which makes us a remote yet accessible location for a quick yoga getaway!
There are amazing charities and social enterprises in Cornwall that make a massive difference to the world and the people around us. And because we want to “be the change we want to see in the world”, we donate 5% of our annual profit to handpicked local charities that we think are changing the world.
As well as our charity profit share, we regularly support local charities with complimentary classes, studio donations and other lovely things. If you run a local group or charity and you think we could help please get in touch, we’d love to work with you.
