Seasonal events throughout the year with Ali Gunning
The Gong Bath is a unique and meditative experience where a combination of Gongs, Crystal Bowls and other sacred instruments like the flute, drum, lyre & rain stick soothe the nervous system and facilitate an expanded state of consciousness.
The Gong Bath induces deep relaxation, reduces stress, and promotes healing. The vibrations and harmonics produced by the gongs help to calm the mind, release tension in the body, and facilitate a state of meditation and deep relaxation.
People can find gong sound baths to be deeply transformative experiences. Each time you attend you will experience the sounds in a different way. The sound and vibrations have profound effects on the body and mind, promoting a sense of well-being, balance, and harmony. Think of it as being immersed in a sea of sound or experiencing a “sound massage“.
Ali Gunning is an experienced sound and yoga therapist who creates safe and loving spaces for people to explore and heal in their own way.
Upon arrival at Lime House Yoga studio, you will be directed to find a space to lie down and given time to settle and ensure your comfort. If you are uncertain as to how close you may wish to be to the gongs, Ali will be happy to direct you and give you some guidance.*
To enrich your healing experience, Ali will begin by sharing a mini practise of somatic movement, connecting with breath and intention before the sound, helping you to fully settle and receive.
You will lie on the floor to receive the sound and will be given time to get into an optimal position. If you cannot lie comfortably on the floor please request a chair in advance or bring extra props.
Each evening at Lime House has a seasonal flavour (see below for more detail of each season), connecting us to nature and our own needs and rhythms. As the original creative force, sound leads us back to source, to reconnecting with our true nature.
After the sound we will take time to ground and share together over delicious, nutritious food.**
*Please continue scrolling to see the list of health concerns that will require you to speak to Ali about before attending a gong bath.
** The food we serve is vegan, but do let us know if you have any more specific dietary requirements – we cater for everything.
“Just wanted to say a huge thank you for the sound bath session on Friday. What an amazing evening, we both thoroughly enjoyed it and felt wonderfully relaxed and restored afterwards. Then had the best sleep that we’ve had for quite some time. The supper was perfect, so thank you to the team at Lime House for that too.” Kevin and Sheree, Gong Bath attendees

Join our resident sound healer Ali Gunning for an evening of sound meditation, food and connection. Our final seasonal gong bath of 2025 is our Winter 'Rest' event. It’s time to turn inwards and digest the year so far, to allow our system to rebalance among the festivities. Ali guides you in some gentle movement to ease the hips and joints. A cocoon of healing sound invites you to let go and be held. Drum rhythms weave with the deep call “home” of earth and water gongs; the melodies of voice and lyre leading to a deep restful silence.

“Ali’s experience is awesome. Always feel so good after her sessions. It’s like a little retreat in a short space of time. – Leila, Gong Bath attendee
“Ali was fantastic and we absolutely loved the whole experience! The whole studio space has been created with such style and attention to detail, right from the lighting and acoustic design through to the comfy sprung floor. The setting and architecture is the most beautiful we’ve ever seen. The whole experience takes you to another world! – Matthew, Gong Bath attendee
I just wanted to say thank you for such a brilliant experience at Lime House Yoga last night. Honestly, I usually feel a little intimidated at yoga spots, so have never even tried classes, but this felt like a very different atmosphere, genuinely welcoming and extremely comforting. The sound bath (my first) was extremely effective for me (internal shifts, processing of memories and a lot of unexpected tears!) So please do pass on my gratitude to Ali, I will be back for more. So glad to have found you guys and what a perfect place & way to help me settle into Cornish life.” – Saffron, Gong Bath attendee
Ali Gunning – sound and yoga therapist, holder of sacred space and retreat facilitator for over 12 years
I came to the mystical element of sound through my yoga trainings in India, fascinated, and challenged, by mantra and the power of voice. I went on to specialise in working with the majestic gong for self healing and meditation.
Sound has been the guiding thread of my journey through various studies and initiations. I am a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists and have undertaken diverse training and CPD extending to over 2,000 hours, including recent studies of mudra therapy and trauma and grief sensitive yoga nidra. But, for me, living and breathing it matters more than any qualifications. It is the daily practise and connection to the sacred which helps me to give and grow authentically.
I am dedicated to sharing sound, breath and embodied practices which can bring transformation in all areas of life, on all layers of our being – both the profound and the practical! This has certainly been my own experience and my intention is to hold authentic, safe and loving spaces for others to connect with source.
I’ve travelled widely in India & Nepal and explored London and Hertfordshire on a house boat. In the last few years I’ve been more about putting down roots and am now located on the Lizard peninsula in Cornwall, where ancient, elemental energies feed my soul. My partner Andy, a musician, and I have created a retreat house and sound temple to host small retreats and gatherings. Here, with deep reverence, we bring together what we have learned from the East with the wisdom of this land, seasons and Celtic traditions.
A light hearted slow vinyasa flow class with lots of options so you can choose what suits your body and your energy levels. The class is often themed around a biomechanical alignment principle, so we evolve our understanding of the postures. Pranayama (breathing practices) and meditation are woven into the fabric of each class.
In Kitty's Restorative Yoga class, we explore the passive release of the body from the support of various yoga props and supports. Receive deep rest and rejuvenation from this floor-based practice. An ideal session to relieve tension and stress and a great class for heading into the weekend after a busy week!
Workshops monthly throughout 2025. Amazing aerial workshops that let your inner child play! Try restorative, dynamic or sound bath immersion. Guaranteed to leave you happy and refreshed!
