Join us for our very special Aerial Yin & Sound Bath. In this special workshop you will practice Aerial Yin Yoga and then enjoy an immersive Sound Bath whilst still cocooned in your aerial sling Aerial Yin Yoga is a passive practice which allows you to feel a sense of weightlessness suspended in an aerial silk sling. You will be holding postures for longer periods of time helping to reduce tension and stress within the body and mind. The aerial hammock acts as a lifting support, drawing the weight and energy of the body off the ground, creating a sense of being held and nurtured. The emphasis of this practice is deeper relaxation, deeper breathing and deeper more peaceful connection to the inner self. Whilst still cocooned safely in your silk hammock, you will experience a relaxing Sound Bath. Let the sounds and vibrations from crystal & Tibetan bowls, gongs, chimes and more, wash away any residual emotional, mental or physical stress. The combination of the subtle movements of swaying in the hammock combined with the healing sounds and vibrations of the Aerial Sound Bath will have you floating to a blissful place, leaving you feeling calmer and rejuvenated for days to come from a truly unforgettable experience. Join us for this unique healing experience. Beginners welcome.
We’re delighted to welcome back Dominique Preston for this exclusive workshop. Experience the benefits of direct Myofascial release, yin yoga, intuitive movement and restorative yoga. We’ll prep our bodies for deeper work with intuitive movement; moving in new ways, releasing restrictive patterns of movement and repetitive strain in the body. Soft Yin will gently tease open the tissues and lots of direct self-myofascial release techniques as we target the typical knotty spots held within our connective tissue system. Ending with stillness and time in restorative positions to fully absorb and soak up all the goodness from this deeply nourishing and replenishing practice.
Overcoming Fear, Expansion of the Heart: A Yoga Backbending Workshop In every human being lives both a longing for freedom and a hesitation toward it. We dream of living with open hearts, moving through life with confidence, trust, and ease — yet fear often stands in the way. Fear contracts us; it tightens the body, narrows the breath, and isolates the mind. The yoga workshop “Overcoming Fear, Expansion of the Heart” is an invitation to transform contraction into openness — to replace the armour of fear with the spaciousness of love. The Philosophy Behind the Workshop In yogic philosophy, fear is understood as a veil that obscures our true nature. The ancient scriptures remind us that fear arises only when we forget our unity with all that is — when we perceive separation. The heart, or anahata chakra, represents that bridge between the physical and spiritual realms, where love dissolves boundaries. When we practice from the heart, we remember connection. This workshop draws on ancient teachings to explore how yoga offers a direct path from fear to freedom, from contraction to expansion.

The hips are often called the body’s emotional storage space, holding onto physical tension, emotional blockages, and even past trauma. Whether it’s from long hours of sitting, stress, or simply the wear and tear of daily life, tight hips are a common issue for many people. Yet, in yoga, the hips are viewed not just as a physical space but as a powerful gateway to balance, mobility, and emotional well-being. The Hips: Happy, Healthy Hips yoga masterclass focuses on deepening students’ understanding of hip anatomy and addressing the myriad issues that arise from tight or unbalanced hips. The class offers tools to open, strengthen, and stabilize the hips, while also teaching the importance of maintaining emotional and mental balance. Ultimately, the goal is to leave participants feeling lighter, more mobile, and empowered—ready to step forward in life with both physical and emotional freedom.

This Intro to Mysore (Ashtanga Yoga Fundamentals) workshop is designed to start you on the journey to learn the Ashtanga Primary series so that you can join the Self Practice sessions (Mysore*) that we run every Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 7am. Ashtanga Yoga a form of Hatha Yoga that is based on a practice of yoga that slowly builds in difficulty to allow students to safely access their full potential. Don’t worry if you have never practiced Ashtanga Yoga before, if you have ever attended a Vinyasa class you will be familiar with many of the poses. Our aim is to help each student evolve into an independent practitioner and to enjoy the mental and physical benefits that the Ashtanga practice can bring. You will learn elements of the Ashtanga Primary Series in a way which makes the practice accessible to everyone regardless of your experience or flexibility. The Ashtanga sequence is often viewed as only suitable for those who are athletic, strong and flexible. Traditionally however the sequence is adapted to the individual with modifications and props available to ensure safe and sustainable lifelong practice. The Self Practice method is the traditional was taught to students. Think of it as a 1-2-1 but in a group environment. This differs from the standard led (guided) classes that we are familiar with in the west. The self-practice method requires that the practitioner learn each series in turn and practice at their own pace. There are 6 series in total that progressively build in difficulty. You start with the primary (1st Series), also known as yoga chikitsa (yoga therapy). Once you become proficient at the practicing the primary series you then progress through the Intermediate series (Nadi Shodhana – cleansing the subtle energy channels) * Mysore – named after the place in Indian where it was first taught. **Please note that our cancellation policies differ slightly for classes and workshops/courses/trainings. Please visit our T&C’s page for full details.

Join Lime House Yoga Principal Teacher Jock Orton for his monthly masterclass. March is all about spinal awareness. The spine is the central pillar of your body. It supports your structure, allows for movement and houses the spinal cord, which connects your brain to the rest of your body. In yoga philosophy, the spine is also the energetic highway, with energy centres, or chakras, aligned along its length. To maintain physical vitality, mental clarity, and emotional balance, the health of the spine is paramount. This masterclass, “Spinal Awareness: Maintaining Your Spinal Health,” explores the significance of spinal health and how yoga can be used to cultivate strength, flexibility, and balance in the spine. By developing greater awareness of your posture, movement patterns, and breath, you can build a spine that is resilient, supple, and capable of supporting you through life’s demands.
Our Restorative Aerial workshops workshops are about decompression, detoxing and expanding into the back space – unlocking the hips and opening the heart. We want to be kind to the spine, looking at alignment and safe inversions. We focus on gently mobilising places in the body that sometimes get stuck and allow the postures to help ease painful areas such as the neck and lower back. A restorative yet rejuvenating session that is all about the good ‘feels’!

For many practitioners, the very idea of being upside down can stir a mix of excitement and fear. But in this Yoga Masterclass: Headstands – The Route to Immortality, the pose is presented not just as an athletic feat but as a deeply transformative practice. Guided by your teacher Jock, students are invited to explore the profound benefits of Headstand and encouraging students to move beyond their fears, doubts, and limitations, while simultaneously awakening deeper layers of the self. The concept of immortality, in the context of yoga, is not about living forever in the body, but about tapping into the timeless, eternal nature of the self. It’s about transcending the temporary limitations of the mind and body and connecting with the vastness of consciousness. Headstands are a powerful tool for unlocking this higher awareness, cultivating clarity, and achieving a sense of liberation from the constant chatter of the mind.

The practice of Yoga Kurunta is often associated with the teachings of Krishnamacharya and his students, particularly B.K.S. Iyengar – the founding father of Iyengar Yoga. The use of ropes in yoga was developed as a way to allow the body to access deeper stretches, support specific body parts during asanas, and promote more precise alignment. Jock’s Yoga Kurunta: Intro to Ropes Masterclass is not just about learning new poses – it’s about discovering how to use the tools of yoga to unlock deeper layers of strength, flexibility, and awareness. Learn how ropes can offer a form of resistance, assist with deepening stretches and experience a more profound connection to your body – float with ease through even the most challenging poses with less strain. Join Lime House Yoga Principal Teacher Jock Orton for his monthly masterclass. June focuses on becoming fearless in your backbends, and how to execute them safely. There is no denying that dropping backwards onto your hands from standing is pretty scary and unless you were a gymnast as a child probably something you’ve probably never done before! It’s certainly something I never thought I’d be capable of doing when I first started practicing yoga. Thankfully with great instruction and encouragement along the way from my teachers it’s something that has become second nature and something that is no longer scary but a part of my practice that I really look forward to. Backbends open the chest and upper body stimulating the Heart chakra (Anahata) allowing us to open more fully to our emotions. Strong backbends can bring up stored emotions: fear, anger, frustration, sadness as well as joy and love. Over the years, I’ve had students come to me after a strong back bending class to describe the emotion that has been released asking whether it’s normal to be feeling, whichever emotion it is, so strongly. Backbends will make you more fully present in the moment, because that moment when you first drop back on your own, I guarantee you won’t be thinking about whatever else you should be doing that day.
