The Saturday morning class is a counted led practice. The teacher will count in Sanskrit and give clear instruction on how to perform each of the asanas (poses). Each asana in the series has distinct number of movements to move into and out of the ‘state’ of the asana. ie. Trikonasana (triangle pose) has a count of 5 Vinyasa’s to get you from standing at the front of your mat into the ‘state’ of the asana for both the right and left legs and then back to standing at the front of your mat again. (It may sound complicated but once you experience it in class it will make more sense!)
Ashtanga Yoga is well known for its Mysore (self-practice) method – named after the place in India where it was first taught. It’s a traditional way to teach students individually but in a group environment. Mysore (self-practice) requires that the practitioner learn each series in turn and practice at their own pace. The Ashtanga sequence is often viewed as being a dynamic style of yoga, however the sequence is best when adapted to the individual with modifications and props available to ensure safe and sustainable lifelong practice. Our aim is to help each student evolve into an independent practitioner so that they can join the Ashtanga Mysore (Self Practice) mornings and to enjoy the mental and physical benefits that the Ashtanga practice can bring.
Gentle Vinyasa builds strength, flexibility and mobility for all levels with flowing sequences that enable you to move your body in a variety of different ways. Expect a friendly, upbeat atmosphere and expect to smile!
This dynamic class will explore elements of the Ashtanga series in a playful way. Teacher Roxi will riff on various Ashtanga sequences by unpacking the steps (krama) of postures and various modifications and adaptations that make them accessible to a wider variety of bodies than the way they were classically taught. This class is not for complete beginners, but accessing it is less about your level (as there will be options for all) and more about whether a dynamic and powerful practice will serve you today. Come as you are!
Beginner’s Yoga is ideal if you are brand new to yoga and don’t know where to start! If you’ve always wanted to come to a class but never quite found the time or the confidence to try, then come to Beginner’s Yoga, where everyone will be learning together. Also ideal for those who have been off the mat for a while who want to re-establish their practice safely and confidently.
Mums Yoga is a re-energising and relaxing class especially for mum and baby. Mum of three Louise leads a postnatal class which focuses on strengthening the abdominal, back and pelvic floor muscles. The postures will also help to release tension in the shoulders and neck. The class will incorporate your baby, creating a fun atmosphere and more opportunity to bond. We recommend that you allow your body time to fully recover from birth before starting so you are welcome anytime after your 6 week check or 12 weeks for those who have had a c-section. Babies/toddlers/pre-schoolers all welcome!
Breath, Stillness, Release. Explore the body through longer holds in poses mainly on the ground aimed to balance and complement your other movement practices.
Foundations Yoga is the perfect class for all levels from beginner up. It is for anyone wanting to build their experience in the foundations of yoga asana practice. It aims to increase your confidence in correct positioning and the specific use of props to help align you more effectively in each posture. It will help you progress safely into more advanced levels of asana practice, vinyasa flow sequences & develop a stronger home practice.
In this Level 1-2 Dynamic Vinyasa class we will focus on linking the movement of the body with the movement of each breath. This Vinyasa class offers accessible shapes with variations for all.

Join Louise McCutcheon, Caroline Childe, Micheline Ferreira and Elena Mary at Lime House Yoga to explore the healing power of sound and devotion in this one-off, special, donation based class. The word kirtan comes from the Sanskrit root “kirt,” meaning to praise or glorify. It is a lively, call-and-response chanting practice where a leader sings a mantra or devotional phrase, and the group responds together. This interactive practice brings joy and a sense of community, complementing the physical yoga experience with a deeply spiritual dimension. Louise, Caroline, Micheline and Elena will create a welcoming space for connection, joy, and mindfulness. The session will end with a gentle guided relaxation (Savasana), accompanied by the Mahāmṛtyuñjaya Mantra — a traditional chant for healing and renewal. The Benefits of Kirtan for Body and Mind While yoga strengthens the body, kirtan supports wellbeing on a deeper level. Scientific research now confirms what yogis have long known: * Stimulates the Vagus Nerve: Chanting activates this key nerve, encouraging relaxation and balance in the nervous system. * Synchronises Heart Rhythms: Group chanting brings heartbeats into harmony, fostering a sense of unity. * Reduces Stress and Anxiety: Repeating mantras helps shift the brain into calm, meditative states. * Builds Social Connection: Sharing this practice reduces feelings of isolation and promotes belonging. * Accessible to All: No previous musical or spiritual experience is needed. * Immediate Effects: Most participants notice a calming, uplifting effect quickly. * Emotional Release: The joyful energy of kirtan offers a safe space for emotional expression. Experience how kirtan can enrich your yoga practice by bringing together body, mind, and spirit through sound. Minimum donation suggestion: £10. Please bring along cash on the day.
