Yoga Sleep Clinic
Yoga Sleep Clinic
with Aimee Stapleford
Do you struggle to get off to sleep or wake through the night? Tossing and turning is frustrating, especially when we have busy schedules, jobs and children to be up early for the next day. Yoga can help, join us for an afternoon of yoga practices, breathing techniques and practical Ayurveda diet advice and guidance to help you to improve your sleep patterns and quality of sleep.
You need sleep as much as you need to breathe and eat. While you’re sleeping, your body is busy regenerating cells, tending to your physical and mental health and getting you ready for another day.
Statistics from the Great British Sleep Survey say that 51.3% of brits struggle to nod off. Lack of sleep is not a trivial matter, it can effect not only our mood and energy levels but our concentration, productivity and even our relationships and people who do not get a good night’s sleep are twice as likely to suffer from depression. Chronic sleep deprivation can lower our body’s defences weakening the immune system and potentially raising your risk of developing other health complications and chronic illnesses such as heart problems and even diabetes.
These workshops are designed to offer all the techniques that you will need to improve your sleep patterns, therefore you would not need to attend again. An investment in your wellbeing and an opportunity to learn techniques which may offer long term healing effects on your health.
Absolutely no experience necessary. All are welcome and all equipment will be provided, however if you have a favourite blanket/pillow please bring it along.
WARNING: you might snooze! (;
