Winter Balancing Yoga Workshop

Winter Balancing Yoga Workshop
Lucinda Pimlott
Sat 1st February

This workshop is designed to help bring balance and wellbeing for the winter season.

According to Ayurvedic philosophy, we as humans are a microcosm of the macrocosm, meaning all that is happening in the outer world will affect our inner world. Winter is the season of ‘kapha‘, in other words cold and wet, so to restore balance we need to to create inner heat, as well as open the chest to allow the prana to flow freely in this area and prevent stagnation. Expect an invigorating, heart opening practice!

– approx. 2 hours of yoga, pranayama and meditation

– a brief introduction to Ayurvedic principles

– teachings on how to balance kapha in lifestyle and diet

About your Teacher

Lucinda is a Senior YAP registered yoga teacher and has been working in the field of natural health and wellbeing for 20 years. Her interest in Ayurveda, a sister philosophy to yoga, has steadily grown over the years as she experienced the healing potential of this wonderful system in her own life. Her formal training to become an Anusara Inspired Teacher included intensive study with Bridget Woods Kramer, Carlos Pomeda, Sianna Sherman and Beth Shay. She has been teaching for 11 years and in order to deepen her knowledge and continually find new ways to bring the benefits of yoga to her students, she regularly trains in yoga and meditation.
