Summer Balancing Yoga Workshop

Summer Balancing Yoga Workshop
Lucinda Pimlott
Sat 11th July

This workshop is designed to help bring balance and wellbeing for the summer season.

According to Ayurvedic philosophy, we as humans are a microcosm of the macrocosm, meaning all that is happening in the outer world will affect our inner world. Summer is the season of ‘pitta‘, in other words hot and intense, which can bring about a tendency to overdo things, excessive sharpness or focus, feelings of irritation and the possibility of burn out. The session will be aimed at calming and cooling the mind and releasing heat from the solar plexus.

The workshop will include:

– approx. 2 hours of yoga, pranayama and meditation

– a brief introduction to Ayurvedic principles
– teachings on how to balance pitta in lifestyle and diet
About your Teacher

Lucinda was initiated into the practice of Vipassana meditation 18 years ago at the Dhamma Dipa Centre with Goenkaji. Since then, she has had the good fortune of practising under the auspices of Thich Nhat Hanh and with Insight Meditation Teachers at Gaia House in Devon.

Apart from teaching at Lime House Yoga, she runs her own yoga business – Yoga in Penryn, teaching weekly classes in Falmouth and Penryn as well as weekend workshops. She also teaches yoga therapy and pregnancy yoga and she is a regular teacher at the annual Surya Yoga Camp.

Her formal training to become an Anusara Inspired Teacher included intensive study with Bridget Woods Kramer, Carlos Pomeda, Sianna Sherman and Beth Shay. She has been teaching for 11 years and in order to deepen her knowledge and continually find new ways to bring the benefits of yoga to her students, she regularly trains in yoga and meditation. With a background in dance, teaching and natural healthcare, Lucinda is also a Registered Bach Flower Practitioner.

Suitable for all other than complete beginners.
