Letting Go of Judgement
Meditation and Supper Evening – Letting Go of Judgement
with Lucinda Pimlott
Have you ever noticed how you speak to yourself? Of the times you chastise yourself for not doing this or that right, could have done better, messed up? Faced with such criticism from within, no wonder we end up feeling disheartened at times. The inner judge can even block us from doing the things we love in life, if we are not aware of it. The practice of mindfulness can be like a light, like a torch in the dark, revealing to us our tendencies and our stumbling blocks. Being able to recognise this voice for what it is strengthens our capacity to stand and meet it, instead of being controlled by it. The practice of mindfulness empowers us to let go of debilitating habits and realise our highest possibilities.
About your Teacher
Lucinda was initiated into the practice of Vipassana meditation 16 years ago at the Dhamma Dipa Centre with Goenkaji. Since then, she has had the good fortune of practising under the auspices of Thich Nhat Hanh and with Insight Meditation Teachers at Gaia House in Devon.
Apart from teaching at Lime House Yoga, she runs her own yoga business – Yoga in Penryn, teaching weekly classes in Falmouth and Penryn as well as weekend workshops. She also teaches yoga therapy and pregnancy yoga and she is a regular teacher at the annual Surya Yoga Camp.
Her formal training to become an Anusara Inspired Teacher included intensive study with Bridget Woods Kramer, Carlos Pomeda, Sianna Sherman and Beth Shay. She has been teaching for 11 years and in order to deepen her knowledge and continually find new ways to bring the benefits of yoga to her students, she regularly trains in yoga and meditation. With a background in dance, teaching and natural healthcare, Lucinda is also a Registered Bach Flower Practitioner.
