Aimee joined her first yoga class when she was 15 and fell in love with the practice. Back then she had no injuries and found the physical asana/postures easy and effortless. As she went through her later teens she lost her connection to her practice and rediscovered her passion in Australia whilst living there.

After an accident, which resulted in a lumbar spine injury, she was invited to a local class with a friend as a form of pain management. This led her to her inspirational and deeply knowledgeable teacher Nicky Knoff. She felt instantly connected to her body again as a result and her strength, range of motion and mood seemed to improve after every class. After 3 months her back pain, which had persisted for years disappeared and she was hooked!

Aimee took her 200hr teacher training with Nicky in 2009 and continues to study with her today.

Her teaching and love for the therapeutic effects of practice eventually lead her towards her Level 7 certificate through the Knoff Yoga System. It was at this point she decided to focus her attention towards yoga therapy. She studied with Duncan Hulin, gaining a post graduate diploma in Yoga Therapy through Devon School of Yoga in 2012. She is the founder of Synergy Yoga and now specialises in yoga therapy for mental health, women’s health, injury rehabilitation and back-care. Aimee also holds a Level 3 counselling skills certificate, is a ROXY yoga and outdoor fitness ambassador and creates illustrated yoga inspired art.

She teaches a collective of alignment focused sequencing, incorporating flow and creativity and specialise in Restorative sequences designed to replenish mind, body and soul. Through a concoction of compassion and humility she encourages students to travel home to their bodies, to rest back into ‘being’ rather than the ‘doing’ of practice.

Suitable for all everyone.
