The Retreat – Relax and unwind and retrain your mind!

 

Join us for a transformative three nights of retreat and nourishment this February 2018.

 

Psychotherapist Michele Perkins and Yoga Therapist Aimee Stapleford have united their passion for wellbeing by collaborating to bring you a deeply relaxing and informative retreat. A bespoke weekend designed to enhance your knowledge and understanding and to optimise your psychological health and physical wellbeing.

 

Our wellbeing sessions will include insights into retraining the mind and to give you a greater understanding of why you might become stressed or anxious. Emotions that we experience in our bodies and in our minds at times can be difficult and unpleasant and we will look at ways of dealing with these through various, easy to absorb techniques.

 

You will learn how to start to develop the Compassionate/Soothing System , this system is clinically proven to help our psychological Well-Being. We will do this by using some breathing, mindfulness and imagery techniques to regulate our emotions in a helpful and calming way thus restoring our balance.

 

Think of it as “Physiotherapy for the mind”

 

You will be part of a small, friendly group exploring health to the back drop of Lime House Yoga’s relaxing and welcoming environment.

 

Sample itinerary:

* 07:15 – 08:45 Yoga with Aimee
* 09:00 – 10:00 Nourishing breakfast
* 10:00 – 11:30 ‘Retrain your mind’ educational session
* 11:30 – 12:00 relax : unwind : Mindfulness
free time
* 13:00 – 14:00 Lunch
Free time, optional individual ‘check-in’ with Michele. Pre booked massages will also be available at this time.
* 17:00 – 18:30 ‘retrain your mind’ stress-relief techniques
* 18:30 – 19:00 Yoga nidra (guided relaxation)
19:00 -20:00 Dinner
free time

 

In your free time take a walk down to the nearby beach or read a book, do as much or as little as you desire!

What to bring:
We really have taken care of everything for you, however you may like to bring the following items if desired;

 

* A journal, notebook and pen
* Bed socks for a cosy relaxation sessions
* A favourite blanket

About your teachers

 

Michele Perkins:


Founder of Clarity CBT, Michele is a BABCP accredited psychotherapist with 14 years experience within NHS & private practice.

 

An experienced CBT Psychotherapist, UKCP & BACP Register, EMDR Practitioner & BABCP Supervisor.

 

Michele is a passionate yogini who particularly enjoys Restorative Yoga, passively opening the body through connection, awareness and mindful breathing.

Aimee Stapleford:

Level 7 certificate through the Knoff Yoga System 2009-2015

Post graduate diploma in Yoga Therapy through Devon School of Yoga 2012.

2015 training with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli, certificate in Well Women’s Yoga and Womb Yoga sequencing.

2016 qualified as an Ayurveda Diet and Lifestyle Consultant through Dr Apte, Ayurveda Pura Academy, London.

 

Aimee is the founder of Synergy Yoga, specialising in yoga therapy for mental health, women’s health, injury rehabilitation and back-care. She also holds a Level 3 counselling and listening skills certificate.

“I encourage students to travel home to their bodies, to rest back into ‘being’ rather than the ‘doing’ of yoga practice”.

Food

The food we serve at The Retreat is organic, colourful, healthy and most importantly tastes amazing. We are passionate about supporting our local food suppliers and growing our own produce in our vegetable garden and polytunnel. Predominantly vegan, we love trying new recipes so that no two days are the same.

 

We cater for all possible dietary requirements, please let us know on booking if you have any allergies or dietary requirements.
