Internal Flight – Arm Balances & Inversions Workshop
14th September
Jock Orton

If you want to develop your arm balances and inversions it takes practice, perseverance and dedication and in a regular 90-minute class there isn’t always enough time to really explore many of the more challenging poses. In this 3-hour workshop we will look at the subtleties and alignment that are required to achieve these poses.

We will look at the finer details of anatomy and physiology and the importance of the two lower internal body locks, Mula and Uddiyana Bandha. Understanding these core teachings will give you a sense of lightness to assist in getting ‘lift-off’ in our arm balances. When the body, breath and mind align you will experience the beautiful freedom of internal flight.

Inversions are also physically beneficial and increase blood flow to the brain, improve memory, supports your endocrine system, improves balance and spatial awareness, builds upper body and core strength.

You don’t have to be the strongest or most flexible to attend this workshop you just need a sense of adventure and be willing to let go of your self-limiting beliefs.
