Develop and maintain a holistic yoga practice
Our students told us that they wanted the opportunity to deepen their practice, learn more about their bodies and integrate a sustainable, holistic yoga practice into their daily lives.
We have created a series of immersions that offers just this, it’s collectively called the Practitioner Immersion Programme (affectionately known as PIP) and if you attend all of the weekends it offers 150hrs of intensive training which we’ve split into individual four day immersions so you can choose the ones that fit into your schedule. So you can either book all of the immersions together (PIP) and get a discounted rate or as individual immersions.
It gives you the opportunity to really delve into your own practice, learning yoga asana, philosophy, anatomy, pranayama and Sanskrit. These immersions will help you to develop and sustain a holistic yoga practice that supports your own health and wellbeing.
It gives those who don’t wish to teach the opportunity to focus on their personal practice at a new and challenging level. And for those who do want to teach, the opportunity to develop the basic knowledge, skills and confidence in their own practice before learning to teach others. To be an exceptional teacher, you have to have an established practice and this programme will support you to develop that for yourself.
Each of the four days (Thursday – Sun) are 10am – 5pm with an hour for lunch and an afternoon break.
We would recommend having a minimum of 2 years’ practice. If you have been practising for less than 2 years, please get in touch and we can discuss your application.
Please note some theoretical elements of the course will be delivered online.
Join senior yoga teachers Jock and Lucinda for a 4-day yoga immersion specifically designed to offer you the tools to deepen your yoga practice. Foundations Yoga is the perfect class for all levels from beginner up. It is for anyone wanting to build their experience in the foundations of yoga asana practice. It aims to increase your confidence in correct positioning and the specific use of props to help align you more effectively in each posture. It will help you progress safely into more advanced levels of asana practice, vinyasa flow sequences & develop a stronger home practice.
Jock's flowing, slightly slower paced Vinyasa class pays attention to alignment detail. The class will include sun salutations at a gentler pace and some relaxation/pranayama techniques. Confident beginners are also welcome.

In Aimee's Restorative Yoga class, we explore the passive release of the body from the support of various yoga props and supports. Receive deep rest and rejuvenation from this floor-based practice. An ideal session to relieve tension and stress and a great class for heading into the weekend after a busy week!
The Saturday morning class is a counted led practice. The teacher will count in Sanskrit and give clear instruction on how to perform each of the asanas (poses). Each asana in the series has distinct number of movements to move into and out of the ‘state’ of the asana. ie. Trikonasana (triangle pose) has a count of 5 Vinyasa’s to get you from standing at the front of your mat into the ‘state’ of the asana for both the right and left legs and then back to standing at the front of your mat again. (It may sound complicated but once you experience it in class it will make more sense!)

In this slower paced flow we will focus on linking the movement of the body with the movement of each breath. Ashtanga self Practice
Louise's Vinyasa Flow classes link your breath with your body. They are fun, energetic classes that infuse a mixture of Myth (ancient Hindu stories), Mudra (simple hand gestures), Mantra (sounds, words or phrases as an aid to meditation) and some Yoga philosophy. Suitable for all but some experience of yoga will be helpful.
Mums Yoga is a re-energising and relaxing class especially for mum and baby. Mum of three Louise leads a postnatal class which focuses on strengthening the abdominal, back and pelvic floor muscles. The postures will also help to release tension in the shoulders and neck. The class will incorporate your baby, creating a fun atmosphere and more opportunity to bond. We recommend that you allow your body time to fully recover from birth before starting so you are welcome anytime after your 6 week check or 12 weeks for those who have had a c-section. Babies/toddlers/pre-schoolers all welcome!
Beginner's Yoga is ideal if you are brand new to yoga and don’t know where to start! If you’ve always wanted to come to a class but never quite found the time or the confidence to try, then come to Beginner’s Yoga, where everyone will be learning together. Also ideal for those who have been off the mat for a while who want to re-establish their practice safely and confidently.
This dynamic class will explore elements of the Ashtanga series in a playful way. Ashtanga teacher Anna will riff on various Ashtanga sequences by unpacking the steps (krama) of postures and various modifications and adaptations that make them accessible to a wider variety of bodies than the way they were classically taught. This class is not for complete beginners, but accessing it is less about your level (as there will be options for all) and more about whether a dynamic and powerful practice will serve you today. Come as you are!
Our annual free Summer Solstice Class with Jock to say thank you for all of your love and support over the last year! Join Jock for a free class from 5-6pm then join us for some merriment afterwards! Bring something to throw on the BBQ and some drink and we'll do the rest!
PIP is run by Yoga Alliance Professionals Senior Teachers Jock Orton and Lucinda Pimlott. You can read more about them below.
I did my first two teacher trainings with no intention of ever teaching yoga, I just wanted to further my knowledge for my own practice. It was my first teacher Bridget Woods-Kramer who dropped the bombshell on me that she needed cover for a Saturday class that forced me into teaching my first class. I absolutely loved it, completely terrified………but loved it!
It is said that we all come to healing in our own time and this was true for me when in 2000, I fell down a mountain snowboarding, breaking my back in four places and shattering my collarbone. After numerous unsuccessful operations, I decided to take matters into my own hands so that I might stand a chance of being mobile by the time I hit forty.
I began a regular yoga practice and as the ancient saying goes, ‘When the student is ready the teacher will appear.’ I moved back to Cornwall at the same time as Bridget Woods-Kramer, a world renowned Anusara teacher. I spent six years studying and teaching with Bridget and have developed a style that is physically challenging with attention to posture and alignment and above all, playful. My experience has taught me to cherish the physical practice of yoga, but it is the connection between mind, body and soul that inspires my practice.
In the last few years my personal practice has moved towards Ashtanga and have undertaken Ashtanga teacher trainings with David Swenson, Manju Jois and John Scott.
I have been teaching for 19 years and over this time I feel deeply privileged to have been taught by some of the worlds best teachers from a range of different schools of yoga, including Richard Freeman, David Williams, Sianna Shermann, Rod Stryker, Doug Keller, Bruce Bowditch, John Friend, Nancy Gilgoff, and Doug Swenson. In my classes I call upon the teachings of all of my teachers to best serve my own students, with a blend of the styles, techniques and adjustments I’ve learnt along my yoga journey. I am also co-founder and director of Lime House Yoga with my partner Emma and a Dad to two wonderful daughters who constantly inspire and challenge me to be more present in the world and on my mat.
Join Jock’s classes at Lime House on Monday and Wednesday evenings and Thursday and Saturday mornings.
The practices of yoga and meditation have been a way of life for me since 1998, although I had no idea in those early days to what extent they would profoundly change my life. It has been a journey of learning to trust that we are in exactly the right place at the right time.
I began teaching over 25 years ago, and even though in the beginning the subject was different, teaching has been my path since I left university. In 2000, I was initiated into the practice of Buddhist meditation with Goenkaji in the Vipassana tradition and since then have been taught and inspired by Thich Nhat Hanh and teachers from the Insight and Thai Forest traditions.
In 2005, my first yoga teacher, Beth Shay, took me under her wing as an apprentice. I then went on to train formally in the Anusara tradition and have been teaching yoga for 12 years. More recently, I have been practising with senior teachers in the Iyengar tradition and am grateful for the insights and guidance that all of my teachers have brought.
My classes include a mixture of flow and close attention to alignment in asana, pranayama and meditation. For me, the science of yoga can only be understood through embodiment of the teachings.
