This 40-hour course is designed as an intensive immersion into the teaching techniques of the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga. This course will cover the teaching techniques of the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga. Participants will learn safe and effective hands-on adjustments through partner work for all of the asanas, practicalities of conducting a class and yoga theory. This is a deep immersion into the details underlying the practice and teaching of Ashtanga Yoga. During the course all participants will be engaged in teaching and adjusting each other through. It is a fun and energising experience. There is a wealth of invaluable knowledge to be learned and tools for practice to be gained by all attending. Participants should have a consistent personal practice of Ashtanga Yoga and understand the flow and sequencing of the primary series asanas. The course is not designed as an avenue to learn the sequence but rather to teach Ashtanga Yoga or to deepen an existing practice. As in all courses run by David there is sure to be plenty of laughter and joy woven into the experience. Many previous participants have commented about learning more than they’d ever imagined possible in a weeklong course while having so much fun in the process. Don’t miss this opportunity!

We are thrilled to welcome Dena Kingsberg and her husband Jack Wiseman back to Lime House Yoga for a 6 day workshop in July 2024. Dena will be starting on Sunday 14th July with a workshop which will take the following format: Sunday Schedule: 08:00 – 11:00 Spirit on the Breath: A revision of the fundamentals for new and experienced practitioners. An instructive primary series exploring principals of movement to enhance freedom and longevity. 12:00 – 13:45 Lucidity and Grace: Pranayama – Chanting and Conversational Philosophy. An introduction to the vast landscape of perception through Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. Shared in an interactive and accessible way. Why? So that philosophy can bind the elements of sadhana (practice) into a cohesive whole. Revealing why we do what we do. Monday 15th – Friday 19th July Schedule: The continuing mornings following the Sunday workshop will begin with quiet reflection and development of the breath, followed by Mysore style classes Monday – Thursday 6:30-9am and a conducted class to conclude on Friday 7-9:30am.
The Mysore-style format will give students the opportunity to integrate the information learning in the Led class and also for Gregor to give individual attention to student’s needs.
